The Reverie Saigon lands in the top 5 of Condé Nast Traveler’s list of the best hotels in the world
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (October 26, 2017) — The Reverie Saigon, an incomparable urban retreat which debuted in 2015 and has since become renowned for its opulent Italian aesthetics, has landed in the no.4 spot out of the world’s 50 best hotels, as recognised by Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
The recognition is the most prestigious finish ever for a hotel in Vietnam, in Condé Nast Traveler’s annual survey – awards widely hailed as one of the most coveted distinctions to be had from the travel media industry.
“Built like an Italian palazzo, The Reverie Saigon brought in a level of luxury previously unseen in Ho Chi Minh City when it was opened… Everything about the hotel is over-the-top opulent, from the palatial, marble-clad lobby to the rooms, done by top Italian decorators with Carrara marble and plush Italian silks,” Condé Nast Traveler writes in its review, and “not to be outshone, Reverie’s spa is a two-level, 13,000-square-foot affair.”
Announced in New York on October 17, the magazine’s 30th annual compendium of the world’s top travel experiences is the result of an extensive voting process that was conducted between April 1 and July 1, with more than 300,000 avid travellers casting millions of votes for a total of 7,320 hotels and resorts, amongst other categories.
“That travellers, particularly those who read one of the world’s preeminent travel magazines, have recognised the hotel as one of the very best in the world, is incredibly exciting – not only for us, but also Vietnam. It’s especially thrilling that Vietnam has become increasingly recognised as a world-class destination and that this development is being driven by Vietnamese hospitality,” remarked Eva Hue Van Truong, Managing Director of The Reverie Saigon and CEO of its management company WMC Group.
In addition to placing fourth in the award’s list of the 50 “Best Hotels in the World”, the independent, home-grown property ranks the highest amongst hotels in Vietnam as well as taking the topmost spot in the greater Asia region.
